2000 Angélus, St-Emilion

SKU #100162697 points Wine Spectator
(Collectibles) Out of this world. Incredible aromas of crushed blackberries and cherries, with wet earth, mineral and mint. Full-bodied, with fantastically refined, silky tannins and a long, long finish. Terrific. Greatest Angelus I have ever tasted. Best after 2010.   (3/ 2003)
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
What can you say about Hubert de Bouard and Angelus? Each year they seem to turn out one great wine after another, and the 2000 showed its merit in two different tastings. A wine of great intensity, bluish/black, with a big, sweet kiss of graphite, crushed rocks, blueberry, spring floral garden and blackberry liqueur, unctuously textured as well as pure, dense, and stunningly rich, this full-bodied wine can be drunk now or cellared for another 25-30 years.   (6/ 2010)
K&L Notes
Deep, dark, blackish color. Reserved in the nose. A huge wine on the palate. Tons of sweet fruit on the mid palate. Chocolate and orange nuances. Very tannic at the end. Could turn out great? A powerhouse of a wine that will need a long time in the cellar.

Angel's Ranking : 96 pt Blackberries, deep rock, old wine feel,  earth rich aroma  , cherrie texture

2009 Domaine Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

SKU #1077719
93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound
A discreet touch of wood sets off aromas of dried rose petal, lemon grass and green apple that precede rich, full and obviously well-muscled big-bodied flavors that possess an intense minerality on the powerful, driving and palate staining finish that delivers simply terrific persistence. This imposing effort is most impressive and should offer up to a decade of potential improvement   (2/ 2011)

Candied apple and lemon flavors are highlighted by butter and grilled almond notes in this opulent white. Concentrated and creamy, with a hint of seashore that adds another dimension. The saturated finish echoes the butter and nut themes. Best from 2013 through 2025. 4,174 cases made. –BS

Angel's ranking; 94 Lemon Flowery Aroma with Crispy light taste ! Love this white wine !
