He is my favorite painter in this pre-auction exhibition, for I stand immersing my feelings for 10 minutes in front of this first painting, composed by two canvases. I was so touched by  his changeable colors, and all the hidden structures, scenaries, and objects that seem as nobody should penetrate through his magical brushes. 

趙無趙 (1921 ~ ) 出生於北京，於1948 至巴黎留學。
無極在歐洲重新發現了中國。
他對中國哲學所特有的天人合一，虛靜忘我的精神意境，作了一個似乎西方式的詮釋。
建築大師貝韋銘在趙無極紐約畫展的前言中寫道：
“我覺得他的油畫和石版畫十分迷人，使我同時想起克利繪畫的神秘和倪贊山水的簡練，
我可以毫不誇張地說，趙無極是歐洲畫壇當今最偉大的藝術家之一。

不好的消息是，如今他已失智，他現任法國妻子與他唯一的兒子，
因財產畫作的問題正在打官司。。。
他的妻子想把趙無極的四百多幅畫作全數賣出，兒子反對。
