Due to the hurricane, we canceled the trip and finally gathered at Thai & Thai restaurant at Mandarin Oriental to celebrate the event, symbolized assembly and togetherness !!

We are all butlers in the system of society in fact ! 通常，我們理想中的自己是做一個有尊嚴的人！用不同的方式，對社會國家人類做些許的貢獻。甚至是重大的影響！只不過有時候，我們如同書中的大總管家，並非所有事情都是我們可以決定的。因此，多參與社會公益，政治事務，參與選舉，才能發揮自己的貢獻！！

How a Nobel Prize Laureate was born ? Within the Buried Giant !!

Kazuo Ishiguro composed all his novels with an ideal notion in mind that the harmony and peace of the world within and among countries, tribes, nations,and races can be established without calamities, but instead of stating this concept explicitly in his writing, he drew upon various themes in managing the memories of the past!

❤️石黑一雄的「被埋葬的記憶」在幻想小說的筆觸中，緩緩道出人類間國家民族衝突，社會歷史不斷重演的傷痛記憶！此外，婚姻與愛情的議題在書中也有舉足輕重的地位！

我們才在討論國族戰爭，屠殺，融合，大家對自己的「記憶」有不同的處理方式，有的遺忘，有的面對後釋懷，有的原諒，有的抓住不放傷痛導致更多戰爭。幾千年來，歴史不斷重複演出相似的故事！
禳二二八，更有感觸！我個人認為今日未來的和平，用寬容的意識，消禰仇恨才是大家共同應該創造的回憶！～～Angelina

 ❤️在二二八前一天讀這本書感觸甚深，記憶和遺忘是可以選擇的，贊同廖教授所言「國家之種族必然多元，欲成功融合成國族，必須能遺忘仇恨及差異」，此書的核心價值必包涵「原諒」，放過別人也就是放過自己. ～～Judy

廖咸浩教授的心得：

石黑一雄獲諾貝爾文學獎，應該是毫無懸念。就一個作家而言，石黑雖不算多產（7本小說、4部劇作、若干短篇及一些歌詞），但確極為多樣。他與爵士歌手Stacy Kent的合作尤其膾炙人口。不過，真正讓他能藏諸名山、傳之後世的，還是那7本小說，本本皆擲地有聲。

不少媒體都說石黑是日裔作家，但他自己頗不以為然。雖然他的第1本小說《群山淡景》及第2本小說《浮世畫家》都以日本為背景，但其後5本小說都不再與日本相關，甚至非常「英國」。然而，說他與日本無關又遠離真相。正如他自己所言，他自5歲移居英國之後，便在心中構築了一個「想像的日本」，然而，這個日本並非不真實，甚至可以說，他在想像中更抓住了日本的本質。

《浮世畫家》中描述一位知名日本畫家在二戰後，為了設法把女兒嫁出去，而被迫必須回顧他極力試圖忘卻的過去。原來畫家在戰時賣身成為「不愛國行為委員會」的顧問，並出賣了自己的學生。他之所以能成為聲譽崇隆的畫家也與他親軍國主義政府有密切的關係。

但如果說，這只是日本的本質，又不盡然。石黑只是藉這樣一個故事，探討了一個「人的處境」的問題：人是被環境塑造，還是塑造環境？人能變造記憶，但是否記憶終會反撲？而人在與環境及記憶糾結不清的關係中，應如何面對「浮世」？

石黑的每本小說都可以說是在這個基礎上的不同演繹。《長日將盡》中老管家的一生在那些虛浮的「任務」中耗盡而不自知，直到偶一休假，才因為回憶而驚覺他一生的諸多錯誤決定，包括錯過了他唯一可能的救贖──肯特小姐。《無可慰藉》述說一位鋼琴家回到童年似乎曾居住過的城市，試圖以一場音樂會讓城市重獲新生。卡夫卡式的風格結合去年在馬倫巴的記憶迷亂，使得全書更凸顯出浮生之不可捉摸。

《我輩孤雛》以一種偽偵探小說的形式，讓主角最後終於面對殘酷的真相而獲得遲來的啟蒙。《別讓我走》則是反向操作，弱者在面對生命的殘酷時，追憶甚至重構記憶反而成為唯一的對策。而在最近這本《被埋葬的記憶》中，石黑回到英國即將出現之前的英國，探索當遺忘的大霧籠罩大地時，到底記憶意味著什麼？此書更直接從國族身分建構的角度來審視「過去」，尤其是為此建構而埋葬或遺忘的黑暗過去。有論者甚至認為，石黑長年來所欲傳遞的訊息盡在這片大霧，這片讓人遺忘的蠱毒。這本小說從記憶的消失開始，到最後記憶終於恢復，這中間牽涉到的是央國凱爾特於與薩課遜人的族群情籌集英國國族的建立！

石黑的例子讓人重新認識到「離散」之意義。他雖然有時刻意壓抑日本背景，但日本仍負面地成為他思考的起點。因為日本政府的刻意遺忘，而讓他對記憶與遺忘的辯證產生了持續而深刻的關注。

❤️「霧峰林家」曾任中國清朝一品武官，從事國家軍火事業，並擁有自己的軍隊，參戰太平天國，八國聯軍，戰功顯赫，續歷經民國，日本殖民，到光復後，921大地震幾乎全面倒塌，1998 年重建 ，⋯⋯ !

Angel 走進林家大宅院內，
才感受到古代一道道神祕的隔距，
我站在最內院女眷的庭院𥚃，
享受著她們被高度保護的幸福與侷限，
想像著當年林家男丁在中庭內練武，練槍，長廊內練箭的盛況情景。

一步步探索著歷史的足跡，
霧峰林家的興衰像極了中國歷史上台灣的縮影⋯⋯！

再走到隔壁的精美建築，是招待客人的私人戲劇院，「大花廳」，Angel 對現場京劇印象疏遠，腦中浮現了「紅樓夢」，「大紅燈籠高高掛」以及「色戒」𥚃達官貴人看劇的景像，頓時好像感覺到特殊唱腔在空氣中迷漫著，華麗的熱情的親切的氛圍。

雖然，今天有點冷冷的～～

一個半小時內只參觀了一小部分地屬龍邊的「下厝」，走出大宅院，內心期盼著在這個知識科技發達的時代，我們都能學習林家歴代袓先的智慧與勇氣，誠摯地學習，開放與包容，台灣的美麗風華不該只有在歴史裡！！❤️❤️🎉🎉

How to be special ?

At the most blusterous spot in Taipei! on 忠孝東路˙

The thinking mind is the most disturbing noise that incumbers our creativity, and intelligence! Why? 
For the longest time, people were trapped by their thoughts, regretting about the past, worrying about the future, when they should be concentrating on the present, and be aware and compassionate of the environment, touching their emotions, their five senses encountered, and their intrinsic desires! To be present with the inner true nature, the God, the Atman, is the first key to obtaining the divine dimension, opening up the ultimate treasure,  before entering the notion of emptiness, which was taught by Buhdda,  in my understanding!
